Based on the double learning method this class combines Italian with Italian films. This means that movies will be an opportunity to learn some Italian and vice versa. Please note this is not a movie club.
We will be watching 2 or 3 scenes from a movie for 15-20 minutes; then by reading from the transcript we'll be discussing the following:
We'll be finishing watching a film over 3-4 lessons. Once the film is over, we'll have a discussion class with students summarizing parts of the film in Italian.
Some learn best in social environments, some through images, others by simply listening and some through rational reasoning. Making an Italian lesson while watching films will suit your learning style.
You will not just watch a film passively but you will be engaged in a variety of individual and group based activities.
To pep your learning up participants will be split into teams competing for a prize.
